Happy Saturday, our first 48 hours!

We are now officially closing in on the first 48 hours of our road trip, and we couldn’t have had a better start.

After an unbelievable send off from our families, we were off to Chestnut Hill, PA for our first night “on the road”. Thank you to our best friend Ali for hosting us and for a fun filled night of delicious food and wine, new dance moves, laughter and what better way to spend our first night than watching Pretty Woman.

Chestnut Hill, a suburb of Philly is such a cute quaint little town. We spent Friday morning walking around, enjoying all the small touches of fall that are upon us. Here are some photos of Chestnut Hill and with our friend Ali.

Thank you to Becky Roller at Xpresso Cafe for a delicious breakfast and conversation.

We decided to stop by Ali’s work Friday afternoon to see her in action and for a final farewell. Ali is a very accomplished and passionate hand therapist at the Philadelphia Hand Center. It was amazing to see her in action and Michelle was lucky enough to have a splint made for her – just for fun!

Last night we arrived at our friend Laura and Ed’s in Springfield, PA. We are here through the weekend. We are loving our time with them and Auntie Cate and Auntie Michelle are having so much fun playing with sweet baby Gabe. More on our weekend later.

We just wanted to take a moment to send out a big THANK YOU to all of you for your support and inspiration and encouragement thus far. We have been absolutely overwhelmed with the support. On Friday, we had 271 unique visitors to our website (meaning, new visitors) and we are up to 106 Facebook likes on our page. This is more than we could have ever imagined in just these last few days.

We also wanted to send an enormous thank you to our parents, Joe and Karen Cole and Susan and Jim Mayer. Without you, this trip would not be possible. You have held our hands through the preparations and planning and so beautifully let them go as we drove away from your homes. Videos below from our send off with Karen and Joe, and our good friend Warren and another from our send off from Papa Jim (Cate’s dad). We love you so much and so honored and lucky to be your daughters.

Happy Saturday to all!
