So, when did you get that tenement on wheels?
Oh, that uh, that there’s an RV. Yeah, yeah, I borrowed it off a buddy of mine. He took my house, I took the RV. It’s a good looking vehicle ain’t it Clark?
As most of you know, one of our favorite movies of all time (if not our favorite movie of all time…) is “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.” A day doesn’t pass that we don’t quote the movie and use the lines into our daily vernacular. Clark and Eddie are our nicknames.
When we pulled into Chicago, we passed Clark Street and almost lost control of our tenement on wheels as we approached it. Immediately, we pulled over for a photo op. Little did we know that Clark Street is one of the main roads in Chicago. Amazing.
As we were walking around Wrigleyville on Tuesday we were amazed and stunned to see that Clark Griswold, err, Clark Street, is joined by Eddy and Grace (Streets). AND, they all intersect. Could it really be an ode to the one and only Chevy Chase classic? We asked a few folks and everyone looked at us as if we had showed up and offered them the jello mold with the cat food to Chicago.
If you have no idea what we are referring to, do yourself a favor and rent/buy/download/steal Griswold’s Christmas Vacation IMMEDIATELY! You’re life will never be the same. That is until Aunt Bethany shows up and breaks wind.
