Gorgeous Grand Haven

We spent Friday morning on a stunning beach walk. Lake Michigan really feels like an ocean with its vastness and the waves. We spent some time sitting in the sand just taking it all in. We had never seen a beach with enormous trees with such beautiful leaves rooted into the sand. Definitely don’t find these kind of beaches on the east coast!  We cannot wait to come back and spend some more time in Grand Haven.

After our beach walk and the cars were all packed, Emily and Ian took us to one of their favorite “local” spots – rope swings in the middle of the woods. We felt like a little kid again swinging around like Tarzan.

  1. Hello travelers!! I am from Jackson, NC in fact I live behind Michelle’s parents. I am enjoying your reports and passing them on to Hayes Crawley Askew ( Bernice Crawley’s daughter) who knows the Cole family well. I just want to mention that I have a key chain from Holland, Michigan that Mrs. Alice Warrick brought me from her travels there some years ago. Small world!!!
